As an official Wu-Tang member, Cappadonna appointed me to develop concepts for his, then, upcoming album, Pillage 2. Honored, I remember the initial Pillage being released on my birthday of '97. Before getting home to listen to the LP, I opend the cassette and memorized the imagery and noted credits. The new packaging needed to be even more unique without compromising the consumer's anxioty.
Following strategic planning with the client's label, we created a variety of new packaging designs, including name generation and style. The concepts used a crafted, stratched, tattered distress feel to create a sense of struggle and hardships.
The album, eventually, was shopped to an alternative label and redesigned. However, their final product highly resembles the original direction to a 'T'.
