During the Pen &Pixels days, Hip Hop artists including No Limit Records, over-exadurated album concepts with covers exposing the unbound limitaions of Photoshop. Till this day the market is saturated with the same idea, using props to glorify the content within their messaging.
By reversing the idea of glamour, I've drafted an exact opposite image of what my core base was used to. This concept displayed a heavy use of Photoshop as the good old Master P artwork and attracted the same crowd of eyes, as expected.
Executing such a composite further challenged, not only, myself but my clients as well. At that point, everyone grew tired of seeing the cliche image of the ideal mixtape cover. Deeper thought went into their projects' notion, granting me oppurtunies to design more elaborate ideas.
